We have for sale a beautiful pair of sterling silver Whitby Jet drop earrings. Beautifully hand crafted in Sheffield, England. In an oval shape and set with a unique piece of Whitby Jet and a Celtic design, with an open back. These earrings have a shepherds crook fasten.
Whitby Jet is fossilised driftwood, discovered in Yorkshire in England. In the Victorian era jet was mined both inland and along the coast. Jet is no longer mined and all our jet is found through natural coastal erosion. Whitby jet is famed for is deep and intense black colour and the lustrous shine. Jet is a spiritual gemstone and is considered to have abilities of protection and purification, with grounding energies.
